The man who
changed the whole world by his inventions. He was one of the greatest scientist
of all time. He is not as famous as Einstein or Edison, but his contributions to humanity are life-changing
and breath-taking.
He was born
on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia.Nikola Tesla was the fourth of five
children of a priest(Father) and an inventor(Mother).
He was born
during lighting and storm that was so bad that the nurse said to Tesla's mother
that the baby would be a "child of
darkness." But his mother protested and said,
"No, he will be a child of light."And here we go Electric-Man was born.
It's hard to
say if this is a true story or a fun myth.
His abnormal
abilities
- He could spoke 8 languages
- He had a photographic memory(mean:He could remember anything just by reading and seeing once)
- He could solve complex Mathematical equations in his head.
He worked
with Edison for a short time.Edison at one point said to Tesla that he would
pay $50,000 for an improved design for his DC generators. After months of
experimentation, Tesla presented a solution and asked for the money. Edison protested,
saying:
“Tesla, you don’t understand our American humor.”
Tesla quit soon after
and start his company.
It has been
said that Einstein was
once asked:
“How it felt to be the smartest man alive?”
Einstein
replied:
”I don’t know you will have to ask Tesla.”
Inventions
- He invented a remote controlled miniature boat
- A.c current
- Wireless power
- Remote control
- Electric motor
- The rotating magnetic field
- Neon lamp
Neon Lamp
and much more, which makes him one
of the greatest inventors of all times.
Stolen ideas
from him
It has been said that
It has been said that
- The Radio
- X-ray
He and
famous author Mark Twain were friends
Like Leonardo
Da Vinci, he often never slept for more than two hours a day.He reportedly once
worked for 84 hours in a lab without any rest or sleep. We don’t surely know
that it was due to some disease or he can’t sleep due to some reasons. But it
could be the love for his work.
Quotes
- The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.
- The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.
- I do not think you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men.
- The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.
- Of all things, I liked books best.
- My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.
- If your hate could be converted into electricity, it would light the whole world.
- Be alone, that is the secret of invention; be alone, that is when ideas are born.
- My method is different. I do not rush into actual work. When I get an idea I start at once building it up in my imagination. I change the construction, make improvements, and operate the device entirely in my mind.
- One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.
- Our virtues and our failings are inseparable, like force and matter. When they separate, man is no more.
- It seems that I have always been ahead of my time. I had to wait nineteen years before Niagara was harnessed by my system, fifteen years before the basic inventions for wireless which I gave to the world in 1893 were applied universally.
- Life is and will ever remain an equation incapable of solution, but it contains certain known factors.
- The wonders of yesterday are today common occurrences.
- I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything.
His Goals
He could be a billionaire with all his inventions but wanted to
give the world free energy.
